In his opinion, the integration of the data structure will lead to a significant improvement in the disk space used by betting nodes.

According to information provided by the Ethereum co-creator, Verkle trees will enable the creation of many new types of functionality in addition to stateless clients, saving a significant amount of storage space required to run a node.

An Ethereum update called the Dencun Update is expected. The developers said the update will not happen this year as more work needs to be done. For most users, Dencun is associated primarily with Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIP) 4844 or the so-called proto-danksharding.
